Burrana Positions RISE In-Seat Power as Essential Cabin Infrastructure with “The New Class of Power” at AIX 2026.

Burrana is redefining the role of in-seat power, positioning it as a foundational element of modern aircraft cabins.

This is about resetting the benchmark, raising the standard, and redefining performance.

Redefined. Elevated. Foundational. This is a category shift versus legacy solutions, not an incremental upgrade, built on:

  • Proven performance in active service
  • Trusted adoption by leading airlines and OEMs
  • Deployment at global scale across fleets
  • A clearly defined and emerging industry standard

With this announcement, Burrana signals a shift in how onboard power is designed, delivered, and managed – moving beyond passenger convenience to become critical cabin infrastructure. As passenger device usage accelerates and cabin systems grow increasingly complex, traditional power solutions are no longer sufficient.

While aircraft interiors have undergone rapid transformation over the past decade, in-seat power has largely remained constrained by legacy architectures. Burrana’s RISE Power platform breaks from this model, built from a clean-sheet design to meet the demands of today’s connected cabins. “We’re seeing a clear transition where power is no longer treated as a discrete seat feature,” said David Pook, VP Global Marketing and Sales at Burrana. “It is becoming part of the aircraft’s underlying infrastructure – something that must scale across the cabin, perform consistently under load, and integrate seamlessly with broader cabin systems. Our architecture is uniquely positioned to meet that challenge.”

Managing Power at Cabin Scale

At the core of the platform is dynamic, cabin-wide power management. Unlike traditional first-come, first-served systems, RISE Power intelligently distributes power across the cabin and within each seat group, ensuring consistent charging performance during peak demand. This approach reduces uneven power availability between passengers an increasingly visible issue on high-density and long-haul aircraft, while improving overall system efficiency.

Scaling Across Linefit and Retrofit

Burrana reports strong market traction, with selections on more than 880 aircraft globally – more than double its footprint from AIX 2025. Adoption across both linefit and retrofit programs highlights growing alignment among airlines, OEMs, and seat manufacturers around the need for lighter, simpler, and more scalable power solutions, as well as increasing trust and confidence in Burrana as a category disruptor.

Beyond Charging

RISE Power extends far beyond device charging. With embedded intelligence and data capabilities, the platform enables enhanced maintenance planning, improved cabin readiness, and deeper operational insights. Airlines gain visibility into passenger power usage patterns, supporting smarter decision-making and future cabin strategy. These capabilities align with a broader industry focus on maximizing aircraft utilization and operational efficiency.

On Display at AIX

Burrana is showcasing RISE – THE NEW CLASS OF POWER at Aircraft Interiors Expo 2026, demonstrating how intelligent power distribution can enhance both passenger experience and operational performance at scale.
